The newly established Liora String Quartet was formed by four university music majors who wanted to expand their repertoire and ensemble experience. We have been playing together for two years and have enjoyed performing and learning the ins-and-outs of a string quartet. All the musicians bring their own playing experience and personality. It has been a blast working together. The name Liora comes from the Hebrew, meaning "I have light." As a passion for music is the flame that burns inside us all, this was a fitting name for our quartet. It would be our pleasure to be a part of your special event!
